The People Corfu's character has inevitably changed through the many centuries which have passed. However, what still remains the same from Homeric periods - when Phaeacians (Corfiots) warmly welcomed Odysseus - is the same passion for Philoxenia (hospitality) to all our guests.
Greece is renowned worldwide for its hospitality. Add to this Corfu's multi-cultural heritage, and it is easy to see why the people here are so friendly and hospitable.
